In the finest aristocratic tradition, the upper floors were once the realm of nobility, while below, the kitchen bustled with chefs, butlers, and maids orchestrating the daily feast. We have chosen to honour this heritage at Le Prince — with a slightly modern twist.
On the ground floor, you’ll find a generous, contemporary kitchen, open to all, where even the most distinguished of guests may indulge in the simple pleasure of cooking. Just beside it, a petit salon awaits — perfect for a quiet cup of tea or a round of leisurely games. And for those who wish to slip away unnoticed, a hidden courtyard offers a most discreet retreat.

Here’s a little secret: fruits and veggies simply taste better in the South — because they spend their days soaking up all that glorious sunshine. On Tuesday mornings, the local market is the place to hunt for a few delicious treasures. Fill your basket and throw together a simple lunch. Nothing fancy — just sun-kissed ingredients, good bread, and the flavours of the region. The simplest meals are the ones you'll remember the most.
Freshest sea food
Spending a few days by the Thau lagoon without tasting the local oysters? Now that would be unforgivable. Here, they’re as fresh as it gets — best enjoyed with a perfectly chilled bottle of Picpoul. Stop by one of the local oyster producers, grab a dozen (or two), pour yourself a glass, and savour one of the most delicious little rituals around
Local favourite: Tielle
If there’s one local speciality you shouldn’t miss, it’s the famous tielle. This delicious octopus pie — with its rich tomato sauce and golden crust — comes straight from nearby Sète and has been winning hearts for generations. Pick them up from a local store and enjoy a true taste of the region. Absolutely irresistible.

If you’re the picnic type, you’re in the right place. Stop by the bakery for a crusty baguette, grab some cheese, a few sun-ripened tomatoes, maybe a bottle of rosé… and you’re all set. Pack your basket and head to the beach, the lagoon, or any shady little corner you fancy.
